Zone of control and Zone of influence

Last year one of the most powerful concepts that I learned was the concept of "Zone of control" and "Zone of influence". If the weather is rainy and cloudy, we cannot control this, but if we need to go outside and don't want to get wet, we can take an umbrella - this is our zone of control. Being upset about the rain will not stop it, and it will not help us being dry, so using the energy on finding another option can be a better solution. Have you thought about or used this concept?
